InfoDyne’s Latency Service Ensures TPS+Plus Performance

Chicago, June 16, 2006 – InfoDyne Corporation, a leading provider of low latency ticker plant, trade/order processing, and middleware technology for algorithmic trading, today announced a new Latency Service offering that ensures the absolute lowest possible latency to customer’s mission critical applications. This unique Latency Service combines a set of core product capabilities, tools/utilities, and managed services that measure, detect, diagnose, and resolve latency threshold events if and as they occur.

“The Latency Envelop of every message starts with the point of message origination at the exchange and ends with the delivery of that same message to the customer’s application”, said Falke Bruinsma, Head of Development at InfoDyne. “Our goal with the new Latency Service offering was not only to detect any increase in end-to-end latency, but to pin-point the location where the latency is occurring. This is critical to understanding the cause of latency and resolving the problem quickly for the customer.” Bruinsma added.

In this age of algorithmic trading where a difference of microseconds can represent immeasurable risk, it is not enough to deploy direct exchange feeds, high performance hardware, and feed handlers. Latency can occur at any time and for many reasons, and can leave a customer exposed if left undetected and unresolved. Often times, these latency events occur at the most critical time of the trading day, when market risk is at its peak.
