Existing Ticker Plants
Do you already have your own ticker plant and are frustrated by the operating costs? Maybe we can help here also. Some firms decided to make the investment in building their own ticker plant from scratch. It most likely delivered on the promise of low latency, but many firms have expressed frustration at the ongoing costs of managing the system and keeping the software up to date. The other common complaint is that the ticker plant was built for a specific application and is “hard wired” into that application. We call it the “silo syndrome”. They are paying for the data, but cannot find a way to share the data with other applications and other users. This nemesis means that the firm is retrieving the data twice (or more) and in many cases having to pay for it twice.
Now there’s a better alternative. InfoDyne provides off-the-shelf technology to support the Direct Feeds you need, with a range of integration options that makes the transition fast and painless.
Many of InfoDyne’s clients have existing market data systems supporting a large number and variety of applications. InfoDyne provides out-of-the-box integration and boasts platform independence, providing seamless, multi-platform integration with Reuters Triarch®, TIB® and RMDS®; 29West LBM®; IBM WebSphere®, and of course, InfoDyne’s Middleware2. A TPS+Plus system can also support multiple distribution environments simultaneously. This provides tremendous flexibility in planning an implementation and avoids the need for a “big bang” transition.

The InfoDyne TIB and RMDS/Triarch gateways publish all TPS+Plus data using native TIB/RMDS data types so that client applications can access the data without any modification. The ability to support multiple distribution environments simultaneously allows some applications to take advantage of the advanced data types and low data latency available when connecting directly to an IT Object Distributor, without the dependency of moving all applications at once.
Furthermore, InfoDyne’s modular architecture let’s you easily share the data with any number of applications and users. A single system can even support multiple environments simultaneously, allowing some applications to interface direct to the ticker plant while others access the data via one or more existing systems including those named above. And, as stated above, the best part is that we can take the burden of keeping it running and keeping it up to date off your shoulders. We can provide full operational management of your system. See
