IT Administrative Desktop (ITAD)
The IT Administrative Desktop (ITAD) application provides value-added tools for monitoring and managing all InfoDyne components. The ITAD interacts with administrative agents that run along side all InfoDyne components. The ITAD provides menu selections for system monitoring, application configuration, and command/control. The ITAD supports remote monitoring of status and statistics all InfoDyne components including the ITODs, ITESs, ITDSs, as well as any other ITCL-based applications (any application using the ITCL inherently publishes a base set of status and statistics and can optionally contribute additional application specific status and statistics as well). Through the ITAD, an administrator can review a specific application’s configuration and modify it as necessary to reflect desired adjustments. The ITAD also supports command and control options for stopping and restarting applications remotely and controlling various aspects of the application. The ITAD is implemented as a Windows-based application, and uses the ITCL to access status/statistics information in real-time from the administrative agents. In addition, all ITPF administrative agents support publication to SNMP MIBs and Traps for use with standard utilities such as HP Openview.
