Custom Data Integration
Recognizing that customers may want to augment the data available from the system with their own real-time data elements, TPS+Plus supports a variety of methods for customers to contribute their own computed information to the system. These methods include call-out, contributions, and publication. A server call-out mechanism is available that provides customers the opportunity to add data elements in-line as datafeed messages are being received and processed, but prior to publication to subscribing client applications. Additionally, a client application can contribute field data into the records of a TPS+Plus server instance, causing these contributed fields to be published by the server to all other subscribing client applications. And finally, customers can publish their own data objects to the system by becoming a Service in the system, creating an object cache, and publishing updates to these objects in real-time to subscribing client applications. These various methods may be employed as needed depending on performance, functional, and other considerations for adding custom real-time data to the system by the customer.
