IT Permissioning Server (ITPS)

The IT Permissioning Server (ITPS), also known as the IT Entitlements Server, of TPS+Plus provides a fully featured entitlement service to authenticate users, control data access, and generate usage reports. Each time a user connects to the system, the user is authenticated through a user name and password. The system ensures only one connection per user and supports the ability to disable a user even while the user is connected to the system. Also, each symbol subscription made to the system by a given user is checked against the entitlements that have been established for that user. Entitlements can be based on exchange venue, symbology, and/or content (permissions code).

Changes in entitlement take effect even while the user is connected, enabling access to new data and/or forcing data currently viewed to be closed by the system. Also, each and every user login and/or request that is made is also cataloged by the system, including whether it was successful, who made it, for how long, etc. This usage information can be processed to provide reports that can be submitted to the exchanges to satisfy their reporting requirements. The entire system is designed to run in a scalable, fault-tolerant manner and utilizes a relational database and administrative GUI to house and manage user accounts, entitlements, and usage data.
